Packing
Packaging is too often ignored or not taken seriously. Statistically a majority of problems in trading online are because of poor packaging, not the result of fraud or malicious intent.
Your packaging job is the first thing your buyer will see when they receive your item. When you do your best to show a buyer that you're serious about protecting their item, they'll have trust in buying again and again from you.
Take the following steps:
| |
| + Choose clean, strong boxes (if you are using boxes other than those provided by courier) |
| + Use a large enough box to allow for two inches of packing material on all sides of the item. |
| + Protect your item with plastic. Place a plastic bag around the item to protect it. |
| + Use bubble wrap, foam or shredded newspaper for protection. |
| |
|
| |
| + Use proper packing tape. Use the clear plastic shipper's tape or packaging tape in large quantities. Don't use other varieties, and don't skimp. |
| + Your package might be opened by the courier to see how you've packed it or to inspect its contents, so be sure that it can be opened and then re-sealed without compromising the packing you've done. |
| |

Newspaper pieces can be put at the bottom of the box |

Put your item in a separate box with separate packing material for safety |

Pack thinking someone might drop your box. The more the room for cusion the better |

Put more newspaper packing to provide cusion on top of the box |
|
| + Shake the box vigorously. Do not ship until you hear NO MOVEMENT |
| + Put your invoice on top of the box |
| + Write a thank you note to the buyer |

Tracking
Tracking is mandatory for all courier shipments.
It is the seller's responsibility to provide parcel tracking number and provide insurance. In the event of loss or damage, the seller is to claim damages from courier.
The seller must save shipment receipt to claim insurance in the event of theft, loss or damage by the courier. Insurance is cheap, a mere 2% of the declared value of the item, unless an item is fragile in which case insurance charges vary from courier to courier |
